How a page is built

1. Define the situation: species, country, route, timing, and the person responsible for the decision.
2. Check the right source: official agencies and veterinary organizations take priority for rules and safety.
3. Turn it into a tool: a checklist or question sequence should be usable before the event.
4. Date what can change: travel rules, product safety, and public guidance need a review date.
5. Set a boundary: health, emergency, medication, and welfare concerns are escalated rather than diagnosed online.

What a checklist cannot do

A checklist reduces omissions. It cannot assess an animal, replace a veterinarian, guarantee entry into a country, or override a carrier’s current policy.

Important: use the guide to prepare a conversation with the relevant professional or authority when the situation is specific, urgent, or regulated.
